"Missing Export"
errors
The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARY
When you try to run the product, you may receive any of the following
messages:
- "The MSVCIRT.DLL file is linked to missing export MSVCRT.DLL"
- "The WWTOOLS20.DLL file is linked to missing export MFC42.dll"
- "A required DLL file, MSVCIRT.DLL, was not found"
These errors are typically caused by an old version of a DLL file.
MORE INFORMATION
To solve the problem please do the following:
- Download and run DllUpdate
- Reboot your computer
- Try to run the WinWay product again
- If this did not fix the problem, continue to the next step
- Select Start, Search, For Files or Folders, and enter this file
name:
mfc42.dll
- Click Search. This may find several instances of this file on
your computer. This file is normally found in "c:\windows\system"
or "c:\winnt\system32".
- Note that each instance is listed along with the folder it is
in. For each item listed, determine if it is case #1 or case #2
below.

Right click on the file name -
mfc42.dll.
Select "Rename".
Change the file name from
"mfc42.dll" to "mfc42.bak"

- Repeat steps 1,2, 3 for these files:
- msvcrt.dll
- msvcirt.dll
- Repeat step 1
- Reboot your computer
