The most likely cause is a "firewall" or "security" program that blocks access to the WinWay web server.  To correct the problem:

1. Reboot your computer
2. Start Internet Explorer and make sure that you can visit www.winway.com
3. If you have an internet security program such as "Norton Internet Security," configure the program to allow WinWay Resume (winres.exe) to access the web
4. In WinWay Resume, try the "jobs" feature again, this time watch out for warning messages from the security software (e.g. "Are you sure you want to allow this program to access the web?")
