Edit a resume created with another application

The information in this article applies to:

  • WinWay Resume Deluxe 12 and later

Summary

Your resume was created with a word-processor such as MS Word, and you wish to edit it with WinWay Resume.

You can use the clipboard to copy text from the old resume into any field of the new resume.

MORE INFORMATION

  1. If you have not done so, please install the FREE UPDATE for WinWay Resume.  Select Start, Programs, WinWay Resume, Free Updates
  2. Use MS WORD to open the old resume
  3. Select the text you wish to copy
  4. From the menu of MS WORD, select Edit, Copy
  5. Start WinWay Resume
  6. Double click on the section you wish to past the text to
  7. Right click in the field into which you wish to paste the content
  8. Select "paste"

If you encounter difficulty "pasting" from MS WORD:

  1. Select Start, Programs, Accessories, Wordpad
  2. Copy and paste from MS Word to Wordpad
  3. Copy and paste from Wordpad to WinWay Resume
