Error while installing
from a CD-ROM
The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARY
While installing from a CD-ROM, you may encounter any of the following
errors:
- The CD appears to be empty - contains no files
- "setup.exe not a valid win32 application"
- Setup starts and then stops with an error before installation
is completed
CAUSE
The most likely cause is a dirty, scratched or damaged CD.
MORE INFORMATION
- Inspect the bottom (unprinted) side of the CD-ROM and look for
scratches, stains, fingerprints
- Clean the CD-ROM with a soft cloth. You may also wash it with
soap and water, and then dry completely
- Reboot your computer
- Try the installation again. If the error persists, continue
to the next step
- If you are installing WinWay Resume Deluxe 9.0, try the Alternate
Installation
